TRULEIGH A GOOD ROUTE
This one is Truleigh worth doing… no pun intended. It heads across the South Downs from beeding hill both south and north, strenous at times but ultimately rewarding.
We are a group of hikers come together to share our favourite routes across all of Sussex.
These are the latest hikes frontpaged by us.

A route that goes out west for once! It takes in some rare countryside of lowland heaths , then ambles through gentle countryside and eventually climbs onto the South Downs way. Finally it returns along the serpent trail to midhurst.
Takes in much of the countryside near mid Sussex, and what a representation of Sussex idyllic this is, from historic villages, water and beautiful forests.
Lovely loop on the central downs, with housedean farm ( coffee shop included) solid ascents up falmer hill and blackcap , among others, then a descent back to the start.

Welcome to Sussex Scout Hikes, thanks for visiting! You can hear our story on the about us page, but we're really excited about finally launching Sussex Scout Hikes. Whether you're a scout leader looking for hikes, a family finding somewhere to walk or anybody else you're very welcome here. We only have ~ 25 hikes across Sussex so far, but I have more than a hundred planned in OS Maps, its just a case of inserting them into this website. It means a lot that you're willing to help and support us at this early stage, and we hope the website proves useful for you. Whether you want a long hike along the South Downs, or a short stroll in a forest , there are routes here to support you! If you ever have any questions for us, or want more routes in an area there aren't many, never hesitate to ask. Thanks again! Yours in Scouting, Isaac.
